The Market of Smart Watches is Expanding
The company Guess is launching a new smartwatch that could rival other fashion brands dealing with wearable tech.
On Monday, Guess announced its new Connect smartwatches would have way more tech, although what it’s offering is on par with that you’ll already get from the market, tech-wise.
The new iteration of the Guess Connect will be a full-fledged smartwatch running Android Wear 2.0, which means it will work with both iOS and Android phones. Google launched Android Wear 2.0 last month with two new watches from LG. The most significant updates include Google Assistant and being able to download apps directly and input text via swipe gestures.
The Guess watch also features “keyboard, Smart Reply, and handwriting recognition” as input mechanisms, which is new to the Connect but a feature of most Android Wear watches.
The watch, which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip, comes in two sizes, 41mm and 44mm.
The watch can be customized to have over a hundred “combinations of display face, color, and sub dials.” It also comes with a range of interchangeable strap options.
