Net Futures 2017 Conference of the European Commission

Chief Explorer Philipe Reinisch was personally invited to take part in the Net Futures 2017 Conference, taking place on 28th and 29th of June in Brussels.

The event, co-organized by the European Commission, examined one key question: “What will our society look like in 2027?”, in relation to transformation led by Internet. The organizers of the Conference felt that not all European policy actors share this sense of urgency for action in this matter and that it is imperative to address these challenges or Europe’s voice on the future of the Internet will disappear. So the NET FUTURES edition in 2017 served as a wake-up call for policy makers and technologist alike, for civil society and the young whose future we will influence.

Some of the key speakers at the event included Lie Junius – Google’s Director of EU Public Policy and Government Relations, Erik Ekudden – CTO and Head of Technology & Architecture at Ericsson, as well as numerous members of the European Parliament and the representatives from the European Commission.

During the Event Philipe Reinisch got the chance to establish contact with relevant stakeholder on the EU level and to present the Silkroad 4.0 Initiative to partners on the EU level.

At the same time he presented some of the solutions and equipment provided by the Silkroad 4.0 Technology Partners to European stakeholder. The attendants were especially interested in TAWNY, the emotion tracker a new product by HYVE AG. Accordingly, through these services of Silkroad 4.0 HYVE got access to a broad landscape of potential future partners.

As Silkroad 4.0 Project continues to expand there are many other events taking place in the upcoming period and we will keep you posted!
